Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Smart Calculators ("Company", "we", "us") governing your access to and use of smartcalculators.in and all associated tools, content, and services (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing or using the Platform in any way — including browsing pages, using a calculator, or creating a Pro account — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may use our calculators to:

• Plan personal investments (SIP, CAGR, FD, PPF)
• Estimate loan EMIs and repayment schedules
• Calculate GST, income tax, and other liabilities
• Model business financials (ROI, break-even, margins)
• Compare different financial scenarios
• Download reports for personal or internal use

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this requirement.

We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of our calculation formulas and keep them updated when regulations change. However, results depend entirely on the values you enter and the assumptions built into each tool.

Factors that may cause real-world results to differ from calculator outputs include:

• Market volatility and actual fund performance varying from projected return rates
• Changes in tax slabs, GST rates, or regulatory rules after a tool was last updated
• Individual circumstances such as employer PF contributions, surrender charges, or processing fees not captured by the tool
• Rounding conventions used by specific banks or financial institutions

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

Always verify important financial decisions with a qualified Chartered Accountant, SEBI-registered advisor, or other licensed professional before acting on any calculator result.

All content on the Platform — including but not limited to text, calculator logic, formulas, source code, design, graphics, logos, icons, and the "Smart Calculators" name and brand — is the exclusive property of Smart Calculators or its content suppliers and is protected under Indian copyright law, the Information Technology Act 2000, and applicable international treaties.

Smart Calculators offers an optional paid Pro tier ("Pro") with advanced features. The following terms apply to Pro subscribers:

• Billing. Pro is billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. Prices are shown inclusive of applicable GST.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time from your account settings.
• Refunds. We offer a 7-day refund window from the date of initial purchase. Renewals are non-refundable unless required by law. To request a refund, email billing@smartcalculators.in within 7 days.
• Payment processing. All payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card details. Razorpay's terms apply to the payment transaction.
• Plan changes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated. Downgrades take effect at the next billing date.
• Cancellation. On cancellation, Pro access continues until the end of the paid period. No partial refunds are issued for the remaining period.

You agree not to engage in any of the following when using the Platform:

• Automated scraping, crawling, or data mining of our pages or APIs without prior written consent
• Using the Platform to develop a competing product or service
• Attempting to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security feature or access control
• Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
• Impersonating Smart Calculators, our employees, or other users
• Using the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Platform or its underlying infrastructure
• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Platform or related systems

Violations may result in immediate suspension of your access, at our sole discretion, without notice or refund.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, resources, or services (such as SEBI guidelines, income tax portals, or RBI circulars). These links are provided for your convenience and reference only.

We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party sites. Accessing a linked site is entirely at your own risk and subject to the terms and privacy policy of that site.

Third-party services integrated into the Platform (Google Analytics, Razorpay, Cloudflare) operate under their own terms of service, which you may wish to review.

This includes but is not limited to losses arising from:

• Financial decisions made based on calculator outputs
• Errors or inaccuracies in calculation results
• Interruptions, delays, or unavailability of the Platform
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
• Any bugs, viruses, or harmful components transmitted through the Platform

In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you for all claims related to the Platform exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) ₹1,000.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Smart Calculators and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of or access to the Platform
• Your violation of any provision of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
• Any content you submit or transmit through the Platform

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms.

You may stop using the Platform at any time. If you hold a Pro account, you may cancel via your account settings, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period.

Upon termination, all licences and rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections on Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law — shall survive.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, or the breach, termination, or validity thereof, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at legal@smartcalculators.in to resolve the dispute informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve the matter within 30 days of receiving your notice.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• Display a notice on the Platform for a reasonable period
• Send an email notification to Pro subscribers

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the Platform before the effective date.
